Why do people consider more flash less valuable on a boxer?

It seems whenever a Boxer has more flash(white) they are cheaper.

why is that? Why do people consider more flash less valuable on a boxer?
I am not sure that I agree. White Boxers are not breed standard and tend to come with health issues, however we are talking Boxer so health issues should be the number 1 concern when purchasing or breeding.

Flashy white marking should be distributed evenly on the body and not consume more than one-third of the coat color.

Plain boxers were used during war time as guardians and messengers. Flashy dog were easier to spot and lest likely to be used.

I show a plain boxer and it is my opinion that the flashy boxers get more attention from the judge.

Who knows, everyone has a preference, I prefer healthy and well balanced with a great friendly confident attitude. Why do people consider more flash less valuable on a boxer?
White markings, if present, should be of such distribution as to enhance the dog's appearance, but may not exceed one-third of the entire coat. They are not desirable on the flanks or on the back of the torso proper. On the face, white may replace part of the otherwise essential black mask, and may extend in an upward path between the eyes, but it must not be excessive, so as to detract from true Boxer expression.
Because ';Boxers with a total of white markings exceeding one-third of the entire coat'; are a disqualification according to the AKC breed standard.
