I recently purcharsed a Nikon D50 Camera no instruction manual (waiting to see if I have won on ebay) just wanted to know how to turn the flash off if I don't want it? I have tried to take some close up photo's of my kids but the flash went off despite having pretty good light they look like they are dead!

Make sure you selected advanced mode instead of basic mode in your camera.
Also, camera sensors are not as sensitive as your eyes so you might want to increase your ISO rating to may be 400 or 800.How to turn off the flash on the Nikon D50?
fhotoace is correct except for the small detail that the flash has a mind of its own if you are in full-on ';AUTO'; mode. If you want to stow the flash but still have pretty much auto mode function, just choose ';P'; and push the flash down until it clicks into place.

The D50's flash will not accuate until you open it up. In the menu, you will find a number of different options. Try them all.

Another Vector based software is Toonboom. It's supposed to be better for general animation, but more complected.

Nikon D90 How to make flash always fire in automatic mode?
I am a first time aunt and about 4 months ago I received a D90 as a gift. What do the 2 have in common ... well taking a picture of a baby really is easier in automatic mode ... multiple shooting is even better. However, I can't figure out how to make the flash fire automatically. Why does Send & Receive lights flash on my modem when it is not connected to the RJ-45 line on computer?
If I have the cable line inserted in modem and electrical power line connected my modem shows Send and Receiving at different time frames. The lights flash irregularly showing data transmission without direct computer connection.

any host package will do the job
but be aware to the bandwidth (transfer limit) it means how many bytes transferred per month
if you have video or heavy stuff on the flash graphics, you should choose a higher bandwidth
