Can you install a program on a USB flash drive?

For example, can you install Corel Draw on a flash drive with enough capacity? Can you run it off the flash drive on the computer that was used to install it? How about running it on another computer? Are there any special instructions to make it work? Can you install a program on a USB flash drive?
I think you could, but it wouldn't work. When you install something, the operating system enters the program's information into the registry. So if you were to use the program on a different computer, it probably wouldn't run correctly. Also some files are installed into the C:\Windows folder, so you wouldn't be able to copy those. But if it's a small program like AIM or Firefox, it should work. Can you install a program on a USB flash drive?
yes you can as long it would fit on a flash drive.it don't matter old or new pc you can install it anytime you wan't.
Hi Allie,

Not that I know of. But we're testing the new ';U3 drives'; that will do something similar to what you're talking about. U3 drives will allow a user to run downloaded programs from a USB drive. But, they are specific downloaded applications from the U3 site when you buy their USB drive. Bad news, Corel Draw isn't one of those applications currently. If you want to know more about U3 drives click the link below. Good luck!!
