Is there a way to make a symbol in Flash turn back into a simple drawing?

Like if I drew a ball using the paintbrush, then I want to convert it back to a simple paintbrush sketch.Is there a way to make a symbol in Flash turn back into a simple drawing?
If you double click on the symbol, you'll go into the original drawing. You can copy/paste that onto the stage.
