you need drivers for USB drive to work on systems lower than XP, first note the brand of the drive then search in google, ex: if ur brand is trascend then search in google ';transcend+usb+drive+98+driver'; you'll get the appropriate result (note 98 refers to os name change it if its diff)How to get a usb flash drive to work on older version of windows?
It depends on the ';older'; version of windows you are talking about but here is the basic idea:


1. Windows XP and 2000: you need to do nothing else but connect the usb drive. The drive should be automatically detected by XP/2k.
